Information for young women, parents and leaders
Who, Where and When?
Young Women camp is for all young women in the Colorado Springs East Stake, including graduating seniors.
We are going to Buckhorn Camp and Retreat Center, near Ft. Collins
Monday, June 28th through Thursday, July 1st, 2027. We will leave in the morning on Monday and return in the afternoon on Thursday.
Activities
A YCL survey prioritized hiking, paddleboarding and rock climbing, which is one of the many reasons Buckhorn was chosen as our location.
Young Women will participate in 5 core activities (TBD) and will have the opportunity to choose 5 elective activities to participate in at camp.
Elective activities include:
- Rock Climbing
- Paddleboarding
- Orienteering
- Archery
- Escape Room
- Fishing
- Disc Golf
- Skits
- 2nd Craft Rotation
Housing
All young women will be housed in either cabins or dorms. All cabins and dorms have bathrooms indoors.
Housing doesn't break neatly into wards, so this year we will be grouped according to classes across the stake.
All young women will have the opportunity to select a buddy that they want to room with.
We anticipate keeping wards close.

March 1st, 2027
Before you register, you will need to know:
Your housing buddy's name and ward and your elective activity choices.
Camp fees will be paid to your ward after your bishop determines the cost per camper following youth fundraisers.
